Solis Lough Eske Castle is idyllically located in Northwestern Ireland in County Donegal. Lough Eske Castle sits outside the town of Donegal on the shores of Lough Eske. The picturesque lough is approximately three miles long, one mile wide and 102 feet deep. Exceptional fishing is available on Lough Eske with Brown Trout, Salmon and Sea Trout plentiful. In the month of November, Lough Eske is one of only four lakes in Ireland in which fisherman have the opportunity to fish for char.A castle has been located on the hotel site dating back as far as the 1400?s. The current castle was built in the 1860?s and severely damaged by fire in 1939. The castle, as a focal point of the hotel, will be completely renovated and enhanced to create the Lough Eske Castle.
