Nestled at an altitude of 1 300 meters, Reckingen-Gluringen is a typical and welcoming village in a valley dotted with granaries. The Goms valley stretches to the Rhone glacier and is part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn area, a UNESCO World Heritage site. If you are fond of rambling, you will find perfect conditions and paths covering more than 700 km in a devine alpine landscape. The three traditional itineraries ''Herrenweg'' (to the Aletsch glacier), '' Gommer Hohenweg'' (from Oberwald to Bellwald) and ''Rottenweg'' (from Oberwald to Ernen) allow you to discover the natural beauties of the Valais. Fishing, rafting, mountain biking, golfing, paragliding are some other diverting summer sports to do in the Goms valley. Reckingen is a true paradise for cross-country skiing, but you will also find alpine skiing slopes which are ideal for a family vacation.
